Week 1 - Part 1 - Introduction.
Low Poly Modeling Portfolio.
Student's will be broken up into teams of two each team will be assigned either a Lowpoly Character/Huminoid or Creature or a Lowpoly set to fully model, Unwrap, textured and rendered complete with ISO Wires.
1. Characters / Humnoind or Creatures must be fully rigged for posing.
2. Each Student is responsible for there assigned tasks.
3. Student at the end of the quarter will have the option to combine there models for a rendered composition.
Each team will be responsible for modeling
3000 tris budget with all models and assets.
Student Must model high poly versions taken into MUDBOX for details and then exported back into 3D Studio Max using the Pro Optimizer modifier to convert the model into low poly.

4. Assets for the set.
Project Documentation.
Each team will be responsible for creating there documentation.
Each document must be written completed with concept art and selected genre.
Concept art must be a combination of both hand drawn and collected reference images.
All models must be Low Poly modeled.
UVW Unwrapped.
with complete textures.
Diffuse
Bumps
Specular
Normal Maps
Glow Maps
Ambient Occlusion Baked on Maps.
Different Genre's
1. Fantasy
2. Western
3. Steam Punk
4. Sci-Fi
5. Military
6. Cartoon Fantasy.
7. Pirates

Set Design Examples
Students must have a minimum of 5 Lowpoly assets.
Lab 01. Creating Schedule in EXCEL.
Student are to create there Excel Schedules, Students must break down there project goals for the duration of the 10 week quarter.
1. Excel Schedule
2. Concept Phase
3. Modeling Phase
4. UWV Unwrap / Pelt Map Phase
5. Export to Mudbox phase for details (Scuplting)
6. Texturing phase (Mudbox or Photoshop)
7.Rigging and Lighting Phase
8. Rendering and composite Phase Presentation.
