Week 10 - Final Exam Project.
ESPN MAGAZINE COVER
Students are to design a ESPN magazine cover of there favorite athlete or athletes. Students may use images of them selves designed with in the magazine cover.
Final must be posted before the start of class and turned in for review.
Design Specs.
11x14 in.
300 DPI
.25 Quarter inch Bleed.
Must apply the techniques learned if needed.
1. Layer Blends
2. Layer Masks (Painting with Black and whites.)
3. Pen tool for cropping and cutting Images.
4. Few custom brushes.
5. Gradient Color Overlays.
6. 5 minimal captions
7. no more then 2 font characters can be applied.
8. ESPN title font must be used.
How you will be graded.
10% - Pen tool Subject (Athlete or Athletes)
10% - Gradient Color Overlay.
10% - 5 Captions
10% - Layer Masks (Painted with Blacks and Whites.)
10% - Two Font Characters (Example fonts Impact and Arial Narrow)
10% - Athlete or Athletes must over lap ESPN Title.
10% - ESPN Title and Bar codes.
10% - Followed the right Specs (11x14 in / 300dpi / .25 Bleeds)
20% - Over all quality of the design.
Total - 100%
Final must be turned in in PSD format. With all the layers organized and named.
Final must be convereted to 72 dpi 800 height pixels for post on the forums.
Images used must be posted.
