Grading Criteria
Lab Assignments - 25% : Lab Assignments will consist of written proposals for each Project and Final Course Project.
Analyses - 10% : Students will present each project with enthusiasm trying to pitch there idea to there instructor which will play the role of art director.
Project 1 - 10% : Company Logo (Cartoon Mascot Triad Color Scheme.)
Project 2 - 10% : Theme Park Brochure Tri Fold - Complete front and back Design complete with all rides and attractions.
Design the VIP Pass hardcard. Complete with extras.
3 different Designs.
Project 3 - 10% : Design Restaurant within Las Vegas Water Park with 2nd mascot Logo.
Design Restaurant Menu Double fold. Complete with prices and entrees and drinks specials.
Project 4 - 10% : Design 3 Packaging Products for merchandising each design must be completed on a template.
Complete Company Website.
Each team member will come up with a product.
Course Project - 25% : All projects will be matted and put together for project display.
Total 100% :
Week 1.
Project 1 - Company Logo Design.
Students will be broken up into teams depending how many students are enrolled in the class.
Company: New Water Park located on the Las Vegas Strip.
Students are to create a new theme park.
Lab Assignment 1.
Students are to write out a written proposal of each section of the project. The course project is broken down into 4 individual projects and the final project. Each Proposal will count as an individual lab assignment.
1st proposal:
Students are to get together in there respective groups. The students must brain storm and come up with a new Las Vegas Water Theme Park.
Name of New Water Theme Park: Students must all agree on the title of the new water theme park. and Color scheme.
Color Scheme: Student will create a color scheme, no more then a triad color scheme. Please use:

New Cartoon Mascot: Students must concept a new cartoon mascot for the water theme park.
Complete concept Sketches: Each team member must complete a concept sketches in pencil to present before final concept is chosen per team.
Each sketch must be outlines in black ink.
Illustrate Company Logo: Student in each group will all vote along with the instructor who acts as the head art director to choose the final concept that will then be vectorized in Illustrator.
Each student will be responsible for illustrating the finalized Company Logo.
