Watching Helvetica Movie
Students are to watch a documentary on The creation of Helvetica.

Project 1. - Typography Face Design
Students are to find a hi-rez reference image of someone famous or of someone they know. They are to recreate their image using either Helvetica or any other famous font family.
Project 1 will be due at the beginning of Week 5. This project must be posted on the forums. Students are to also save a Hi-rez illustrator file.
Students are to pay attention to detail and different shades to create shadows and depth.

Type Face Anatomy. - Students are to study the different elements that make the design of type face.

Homework
Students will need at least 3 magazine in order to do their daily typography inspirations assignment.
Students are to cut out 3 different designs out of Magazine's that use Helvetica in their layout.
2 different magazine layout spreads (Articles)
1 Advertisement.
Students are to write a paragraph each about why they like the layout as well as the design. These ads are to be put inside a plastic protective sheet and into a 3 ring binder.
Homework Video's on Adobe Indesign.
Students are to watch these video's for homework.
