GS1145 Assignments
Unit 1. 5 and 10 goals.
Students are to write a one page paper on the goals they want to achieve by their first 5 years. Then what types
Of goals they want to achieve by their 10th year after graduating school.
Must be written using (Microsoft Word.) and uploaded onto their personal thread on Planetgtm.com
Unit2. 2 page essay on New Technology within their field that they feel will be a revolutionary development.
Students must research New Technology, Cite their references.
Students must upload their essay on their personal thread on planetgtm.com
Students must also link a video from youtube that demonstrates this new technology.
Unit3. Students are to review and write proper Cover Letters, Follow Up Letters and Thank You Letters.
Students must upload there letters onto their personal thread on planetgtm.com
Proper review of Functional Resume formats. Resume must be due by the 5th week.
Unit4. Proper Resume format.
Students are to upload there resume onto their personal thread on planetgtm.com for review.
Introduction to Adobe Photoshop basics. Students are to be introduced to photoshop techniques that will help
Them manipulate photos. Students are to upload there 1st photoshop design on their personal thread on planetgtm.com
Students must also create a linkin account and properly fill out ther information. Students linked in accounts must be linked onto their personal thread on planetgtm.com
(There technically in no Unit 5 assignments.)
Unit5. Students are to review how to create PNG images within Adobe photoshop.
This will help them create custom
Graphics for their future power point projects. Students will create their first PNG photoshop designs. This design must be uploaded onto their personal thread 72 dpi format (JPEG or PNG files extension.) This lab assignment will count as Unit 6.
Students will also review how to properly use Microsoft Power Point.

Students are to be broken into groups for their power point projects. This project will be due at the end of the quarter.
(Project Part 1.) (Project Part 2.)
Power Point Project must be about the different technologies with in their field. Students are to teach me as well as their fellow students in other majors about their field of study.
Power Point must be minimum 20 Slides. (Students are to divide up there work and create there own portions to their Power point project.
Music and video must be included.
Students are allowed to use outside sources to create their presentation.
