All students are to sign up for this forum. (This counts for a grade.) Do not lose your username and password.
All students must purchase at least 1 Mini DV tape. They usually come in 2 packs. (Wal-mart / Best Buy)
If you have a digital camera feel free to use it for class.
Grading Criteria.
Assignments - 60%
Quizzes / Homework - 3%
Project - 25%
Presentation - 12%
Participation - Please show up to class, participation will effect your grade, besides you will miss a lot of information if you miss class.
Quizzes / Homework - What ever you do not finish in class will usually be for homework, occasionally I will assign you a writing assignment based on film production or anything related to the class.
I will occasionally give you a quiz at the beginning so always be prepared. ;D
Labs - All labs and weekly assignments will be posted on this forum under this class section. Please check weekly for updates. Labs are worth 35% of your grade , that basically means don't slack once because you will be receiving an "F". All labs turned in late will be brought down an entire letter grade for each day I don't receive it, I don't care how good it is: ) If you have to post it on a youtube video and link it to the forums. ;D
Final Exam - We will go over final exams on during the 10th week of class, please show up so you can take notes.
Final Project - Your final project will be posted in the final project section of the forums ASAP. This should give you plenty of time on what to think and do for your final project so please check on a weekly basis.
Project 1 - Shoot your 1 page script.
All project are do by the end of the 10th week. No late work accepted.
You may post work in the post work section for grades. But they must be viewable a possible link if its a script or a youtube video or any other mean of multi media format that I can stream off the web.

You will write a 5 page script it can either be action , drama, comedy or thiller / horror.
It must be properly written in script format.
You must print out your script and turned in to me by Week 2.
Your script must also be posted on the forum in the Post work section for critiquing.
Week 2. - We will go over Shots and shot planning. Also story-boarding. (Make sure you make it to class.) ;D

Lab 01 – Write a 5 page Script. (Horror,Comedy,Drama, etc.)
Student’s are to write a 5 page Script in proper Script format.

Review over different types of shots.
Review over storyboard techniques.
Lab 02 – Storyboard 1st and 2nd page of your script.
Unit 3. – Creating over head and shot lists.
Lab 03 - Student’s are to create a shot list using Excel. Based off their storyboards.
Unit 4 – 2 Page script.
Student’s are to split up in groups and write out a 2 page script.
Lab 04 – Write 2 page script.
Lab 04 – Create storyboards for 2 page script.
Unit 5 – Film 2 page script.
Lab 05 – Student’s are to film there 2 page script.
Lab 05 – Student’s are to capture film footage and distribute among team members.
Unit 6 – Edit 2 Page script.
Review of Adobe Premier Pro (Basics.)
Lab 06 – Student’s are to organize there film footage.
Lab 06 – Students are to begin editing there 2 page scripts.
Unit 7 – Review over Sound Design / Music Score.
Student’s will review over Adobe Premier pro and create sound designs and importing score.
Lab 07 – Student’s are to clean up the audio and create sound design and Music Score for their film.
Unit 8. – Creating Title’s and Credits.
Students will learn different techniques on how to implement titles and Credits using
Adobe Premier Pro, Adobe Photoshop, also students will learn an introduction to after effects.
Lab 08 – Create Title’s and Rolling credits.
